Location Riga

Riga is the capital of Latvia and with about 700,000 inhabitants the largest city of the Baltic states. Riga is the political, economic and cultural center of the country. The old Hanseatic city is famous for its art nouveau buildings and its spacious facility as well as for the well-preserved city center, especially the old town. The center of Riga was added to the list of the UNESCO world cultural heritage in 1997 because of the ‘exceptional universal value’ due to the globally unique quality and quantity of art nouveau architecture in a relatively intact historical city structure and the 19th century wooden architecture.
